We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Bookkeeper to manage financial transactions and contribute to the overall efficiency of our Professional Services team in Medway. Description
- Oversee daily transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger and bank reconciliations
- Participate in regular tax audits and payroll
- Prepare budgeting reports and forecast revenues
- Manage month-end and year-end closing
- Monitor the daily performance of the accounting department
- Organise financial data into useable information and maintain updated records
- Track the progress of financial and accounting objectives
- Ensure compliance with the law
Profile
A successful Senior Bookkeeper should have:
- A solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
