Role & Responsibilities:

  • Relevant previous role experience
  • Lead internal and external quality audits
  • Maintain Quality Management System
  • Knowledge of general engineering practices
  • Knowledge of general measuring equipment
  • Ability to interpret technical data, including models, drawings, and specifications
  • Working experiences within engineering linked roles.
  • Experience with a target driven business
  • Good communicator, written and verbal (presentation)
  • Able to build strong relationships, internal and external
  • Good IT skills
  • Mathematically literate, understanding cost and pricing
  • Good English skills
  • Based in Bristol

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Ensure all internal & external quality accreditations are adhered to.
  • Knowledge of BSEN ISO9001 2015.
  • Customer & suppliers’ liaison for all inbound and outbound materials.
  • Maintain plant KPI’s.
  • Define company processes and procedures regarding plant Quality.
  • Support & lead the team to accept/reject in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production.
  • Support & lead the team to accept/reject incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
  • Support & lead accept/reject finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work
  • Generate and compilation of First Article Inspection Reports.
  • Making appropriate decisions when concerns over quality and safety become apparent.
  • Highlight production issues (Technical / Quality / Health and Safety) issues to the Production Manager.
  • Support training and development activities as requested by the General Manager
  • Ensure all equipment used is in calibration and good operating condition. Once used, the equipment is to be returned to its designated storage location.
  • Support weekly production meetings reporting on job progress and output requirements.
