Office Assistant – Disputed Wills & Trusts (DWT)

Location: Manchester (office-based, 5 days per week)

Salary: £25,000

Hours: Full-time

I’m supporting a well‑regarded law firm in Manchester with the recruitment of a proactive and organised Office Assistant to join their Disputed Wills & Trusts (DWT) department. This is a full‑time, office‑based role offering excellent exposure to a specialist legal team and a clear pathway for development.

The position is ideal for someone at the start of their career who is keen to learn, or for an individual with previous office or legal experience who enjoys being hands‑on and supporting a busy team. Full training will be provided.

Key responsibilities:

You will play an essential role in the smooth running of the department, including:

  • Managing incoming and outgoing post
  • Preparing and assisting with court bundles
  • Archiving, file management, and deeds storage
  • Acting as a First Aider (training provided if required)
  • Supporting general office coordination
  • Assisting with PA duties where capacity allows

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Practical, reliable, and confident taking ownership of tasks
  • Comfortable communicating with colleagues at all levels
  • Able to work effectively in a busy, professional environment
  • IT literate, particularly with Microsoft Office
  • Interested in developing within a legal setting

Experience within a law firm (especially in litigation or private client work) is desirable but not essential. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are just as important.
