Overview
I’m working with a global engineering organisation based on the Hampshire/Surry border. They are presently recruiting for a permanent Junior Legal Counsel who will work under the supervision of a senior counsel, this position enhances attorney effectiveness by providing contract review, claims, litigation support and company secretarial support. This role would support the application from a Newly Qualified or soon to be NQ Solicitor.
Job Description:
- Review, draft and negotiation of commercial agreements, NDA’s, services, supply and/or purchase agreements, licensing agreements and other contracts of low to moderate complexity in support of the business.
- Prepare and review documents related to general corporate and litigation.
- Review documents related to company secretarial matters and provide direction.
- Draft correspondence and assure communication and timely responses to and from outside attorneys, company staff, and insurance carriers.
- Research and analysis of law, preparation of briefs, and assist with strategy development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree qualified ideally within law or relevant conversion course.
- Experience working in either private practice, or in-house environment, looking at commercial law matters.
- Outstanding project management, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Highly organized, detail oriented, with strong ability to prioritize.
- Demonstrated experience in a broad range of substantive legal and business areas.
- Flexibility, versatility and ability to deal with multiple issues, priorities, and personnel is expected and required.
- Capacity to collaborate with others and outstanding time-management abilities are essential.
- Demonstrated ability to work with outside counsel and deal with internal clients at many different levels within an organization.
- Proficient in the use of computers to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheets, and electronic presentation programs.

Job Tenure: Permanent and Full-Time
Salary: £35000 – £45000 per annum
Location: Farnborough, Hampshire
