Description

  • Manage the organisation’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Responsible for submitting the FFR, FVA and company house regulatory returns.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior stakeholders and board members.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management processes.
  • Enhance financial systems and processes, including Orchard, SUN Accounts, and Vision Excel.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team, promoting professional growth and development.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and ensure successful year-end audits.
  • Provide financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial legislation and organisational policies.

Profile

A successful Financial Controller should have:

  • Strong experience in accounting and finance within the Social Housing sector.
  • Proficiency in financial systems such as Orchard, SUN Accounts, and Vision Excel.
  • A recognised qualification in accountancy (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Excellent analytic skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a team effectively.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for stakeholder engagement.
  • Knowledge of relevant financial legislation and compliance standards.
