Salary: £20 – £25 per hour
Medacs Healthcare are seeking an experienced and energetic Dietitian to work within the Dietetic acute team at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital (nearest train stop South Kensington, Earls court, Gloucester road/ Easy bus from Clapham, Putney, Fulham,)
This post is ideal for existing Band 6 dietitian with inpatient and Gastro outpatient experience
The successful candidate will support the dietetic department for in patients in a range of clinical areas and cover some Gastro outpatient clinics. They will have excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work well as part of the dietetic team.
The post holder will have clinical dietetic experience in the management of enterally fed patients as well as a good grounding in oral nutritional support.
Main duties of the job
- Provide dietetic care for the general inpatient wards and some Gastro and general outpatient clinics
- Manage complex enterally fed patients
- Ensure safe and timely discharge of tube fed patients
- Attend MDT meetings
- Teaching and support to students on placement.
- Provide ongoing education to wards.
- Keep up to date CPD
Essential criteria:
- BSc or Diploma in Dietetics
- HCPC registration
- Minimum of 12 months post registration experience at Band 5 level in acute areas
- Experience of working as part of an MDT in clinical practice
- Experience as a qualified dietitian in Gastro outpatients / desirably FODMAP trained
- Experience in the management of patients in different forms of enteral nutrition
- Experience as a qualified dietitian in enteral feed discharges
- Experience in general outpatient setting
- Desirable criteria: NHS acute experience
