Job Title: Associate – Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions
Location: London
Salary: From £250,000 + Bonus

A prestigious global law firm is seeking to expand its London corporate practice by adding a skilled lawyer with 5 to 8 years of post-qualification experience to its esteemed mergers and acquisitions team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to be part of a market-leading corporate group.

The London Corporate Finance team is the firm’s largest M&A team outside the US and is central to European, transatlantic, and emerging markets investing. The team advises on a broad range of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and secondaries. They represent strategic, private equity, and fund clients, specialising in complex, cross-border, multinational transactions.

Due to the continued success of the team, they are expanding their London private equity/M&A practice and are seeking a Corporate/M&A lawyer to join at the senior associate level. Experience with high-value M&A transactions is essential, and exposure to private equity transactions is highly desirable.

You will work as part of cross-border and interdisciplinary teams to advise on complex, high-value, and cutting-edge transactions. You will develop client relationships, actively engage in business development and thought leadership initiatives, and seek new work opportunities. You will draft legal documents clearly and concisely, creating solutions using legal expertise and commercial judgement.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of post-qualified experience, outstanding academic credentials, and relevant experience in corporate M&A with a top-tier UK, Australian, or New Zealand law firm. For solicitors based overseas, a competitive relocation, sponsorship, and remuneration package is available.
