Michael Page are working with a Public Sector and Government organisation, based in Manchester, who are looking to appoint an Assistant Accountant on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of budgeting and strong Excel skills.

The client is a Public Sector organisation which manages facilities across the region to help provide high quality services to local residents

Description

The key responsibilities of the Assistant Accountant include:

  • Analysing and reporting on finance related queries
  • Resolving any issues around budgeting and cost recovery
  • Completing journal adjustments
  • Supporting the wider Management Accounts team

Profile

The successful Assistant Accountant should have:

  • Experience working in an accounting setting
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Ability to understand complex subject matter
  • Part Qualified CIMA / ACCA (or equivalent experience)

Job Offer

  • £30,000 – £35,000
  • Hybrid working (2-3 days in the office)
  • 28 days annual leave + bank holidays
