Accounts and Operations Assistant / £27k – £35k / Outskirts of Hailsham

Client Details

Client is an SME operating on the outskirts of Hailsham. The role is largely a standalone position in the Accounts function, supporting the business in other areas of Operations.

Description

As the Accounts and Operations Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage Accounts Payable and Receivables.
  • Checking orders, invoice processing, receipts and payments.
  • Bank statement reconciliations, resolving any discrepancies.
  • Monitor cash flow and report any issues.
  • Resolving payment / invoice queries.
  • VAT return preparation.
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
  • Payroll preparation.
  • Staff on-boarding and holiday management.
  • Work closely with the Operations Manager to achieve the company’s financial goals.
  • Providing support to Operations.

Profile

To be successful in your application for Accounts and Operations Assistant, you should have:

  • Experience working in a similar Accounts role.
  • Experience supporting the operations team within an SME.
  • High level of proficiency with Xero.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively.
